Christine and Alison Yeates have been working on a series of "Master Classes" called "Art of Parchment". These classes are for anyone who loves using the blendable pencils on Parchment but going into a lot more depth and realism. We have called these classes Art of Parchment because that is what it is - Pure Art and little or no actual parchment work, although, of course, the art can be framed by beautiful whitework lace and embossing. You do not have to be a parcher to benefit from these classes as they are open to parchers and non-parchers who like to concentrate on working with pencils and using the parchment to enhance the art work. In time we will progress from the usual floral or botanical to animals and people. So far the classes are proving quite popular and booking up quite nicely. The classes are held over two days and take place in Christine's studio in the lovely village of Holcombe Rogus in Devon and very close to the Somerset border.
